For Daniel Heer, civic social engagement means reflection, exchange, and the passing on of skills and working methods. Always seeking new materials and collaborations, Daniel Heer regularly conducts exploratory journeys. Tweed Journey was the starting point both for cultivating direct relationships with suppliers, as well as a collaborative approach to manufacturing. From the Persian Gulf to the Iberian Peninsula to the Outer Hebrides, Daniel aims to connect with local weaving cultures and establish a fabric archive at his Berlin workshop.
